| He enlisted 8-16-1861 at Gadsten, at age 27. Pvt. (1st) Company E, 3rd Regt. (Forrest's) Tennessee Calvary. Later Pvt. Co. B 3rd Regt. (Russell's) Alabama Calvary, promoted to 2nd Lieut. of the Company. Captured 6-27-1863 at Shelbyville, Tennessee. Imprisioned Louisville, Kentucky; Johnson's Island, Ohio, and Point Lookout, Maryland, where he was paroled 3-9-1864 for exchange. Recieved at City Point, Virginai, 3-15-1864, the Confederate Agent for exchange. Fell before Atlanta July 1864. | ||||||||||
