| From the Decatur Daily, Decatur, Alabama Cora Beatrice Brindley HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Cora Beatrice Brindley, 83, of Somerville will be Friday March 10, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Pines Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Smallwood and the Rev. Harvel Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Brindley died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Crestwood Medical Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Morgan County to Carroll Betha Brindley and Cora Lee Self Brindley. She was the widow of Bill Brindley. She was a member of Pines Baptist Church and a founding member of the Friends Helping Friends organization. She also was a member of the Brindley International Historical Foundation. Survivors include four sons, Vann Brindley of Valhermoso Springs and Harold Brindley, George Brindley and Jimmy "Frankie" Brindley, all of Oden Ridge; two daughters, Cora Vaughn of Decatur and Mary Wimbs of Somerville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
