They where on Farm #14 which was owned free of mortgage. Bert did General Farming & his oldest son Ernest worked with him. Edna, Virgil, Ben, & Catherine where in school. All members of the family could read & write except McClain & Lee. Both Bert & Sarah listed that both of their parents as also born in Tenn. I found Virgil & Ben death date's listed in the Social Security records. Bert's family lived on Athens Road at Madionville Road. Information found on 1900 censis Monroe Co., Tenn ED 143 Sheet 5. Wife listed as being mother of 7 children 4 living. Believe first two children may be from
her first marriage as they have only been married 4 yrs by time of census. Information found on 1910 censis Monroe Co., Tenn ED 109 Sheet 9. Married 13 yrs. Mother listed as having 10 children 7 living. On some Census the last name is spelled as Plemmons & in other as Plemons. Son's Birth certificate lists father's full name |
