| Never migrated from VA Madison Dowell's last will and testament....dated August 1, 1839. Known all men by these present that after my decease that all my debts due me shall be collected and from the sum thereof shall pay all of my debts and after all my just debts be paid, I give unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth M. Dowell the balance of thee or debts therof and all my stock, leather, and hides that will be on hand at the time. And my trust in the Tangara Land. Also, my stock of negros, 1 horse, cows and sheep and hogs and household and kitchen furniture, beside various other things too tedious to mention..
